Relax on the 3rd-floor veranda, and gaze out across the serene aquamarine waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The sea breeze is scented with jasmine and frangipani. Fresh air and the sounds of the surf will lower your blood pressure and make you glad to be alive!
This elegant, sunshine-yellow, 4br/3ba vacation home will help you to cherish every sunrise and vibrant sunset. Aptly named “Sun’s Up,” this Anna Maria island paradise is just ½ block (2 min stroll) from the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. The spacious, family-friendly home features a private, heated, saltwater pool shaded by graceful palm trees, as well as alfresco dining on the covered veranda, and balcony views of the sea.
This three-story home has a first floor/ground level semi-basement with a carport, garage and a game room.
Living:

This living area has travertine tile floors, soothing neutral tones, and a few splashes of cool coastal colors incorporated in seascape wall art and beachy decor. This living room has a relaxed, comfortable vibe; a family-friendly gathering area for easy conversation, cozying up with a book, or kicking back to stream your favorite shows or movies. Envision gathering for family game nights or reading bedtime stories on this comfortable sofa.
French doors from the living room open out to the covered, sunshine-yellow front veranda, which offers a beautiful teakwood alfresco dining table with seating for four. Large living room windows overlook the sparkling swimming pool, palms, and charming, pedestrian-friendly island neighborhood.
Kitchen/Dining:
The open-concept design of the kitchen/living/dining area makes for easy entertaining. The chef’s kitchen has plentiful, maple-hued hardwood cabinets, spacious granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances including a French door fridge/freezer with icemaker, an electric range and oven, a microwave, a double basin sink, and a dishwasher. A Keruig and drip coffee maker are both provided. (and yes, there is chef’s caliber sharp cutlery in a designated drawer!)
The kitchen island boasts wide counter space as well as a bar top with stool seating for two. This island bar seating makes the kitchen space much more social and fun! Guests can join the chef for a cocktail or conversation during meal prep.
The open kitchen has a distinct Mediterranean ambiance with warm earth tones; warm-natural hue travertine tile floors, and splashes of coastal decor in hues of blue, white, and aqua. Details such as arched doorways, arched kitchen pass-through, and high ceilings enhance the Mediterranean style. Whimsical sculptures of sea birds and seascape paintings draw in the beach vibe.
The kitchen passthrough has granite countertops and breakfast bar stool seating for four on the living room side. A great spot to sip your morning coffee or freshly squeezed citrus juice! Or, sit here to chat with the chef as breakfast pancakes are prepared! These extra seating areas make this kitchen a more dynamic social hub of the home.
The main dining table is located to one side of the kitchen, below a ceiling fan with a lamp. This rustic, distressed-style table, combined with its six blue and white rustic chairs, enhances the beachy vibe of the kitchen. If the weather is nice, you may also choose to dine outside, on the covered front veranda.

Outdoor amenities are a highlight of this property! The first floor/ground level/semi-basement of this home features a carport with covered parking for two cars, as well as a game room, and a courtyard area with a large gas grill, patio furniture, and alfresco dining table shaded by palms, banana trees, and sea grape bushes.
Grill some fresh-caught seafood, steaks, or portabellas! Add tropical flavor with some grilled pineapple, a dash of mango or citrus, or some homemade guacamole. Serve up a gourmet meal alfresco on the veranda or the patio, beneath the palms.
The large, covered verandas and the front swimming pool are highlights of this home. The main/second floor veranda has an alfresco dining table with seating for four. The third-floor veranda, accessible off the primary suite, offers patio furnishings with seating for eight. This third-floor veranda is the ideal spot to enjoy the vibrant and magical sunsets that Anna Maria Island is famous for!
The heated saltwater pool is divine! And private and exclusive for you and your guests. (guests can set the temperature up to 85 degrees - any higher will destabilize the salt solution). There are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas available for poolside relaxation. There’s a designated smoking area on the grounds with seating and an umbrella for protection from the sun and elements. Just ask us when you get here where it is on the property.
The very best amenity is the beach, which is precisely 170 steps from your door (Jen’s gait!) and is never crowded, not even during the peak winter season. It almost feels like it's your own private beach!
Neighborhood:
The combination of a tropical setting, beach location, luxurious amenities plus cosmopolitan convenience is the essence of this home. Park your car and explore the small, charming, historic island by foot, bicycle, golf cart, or trolley. Walk to restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and grocery markets. Nearby are boat rentals, and sunset cruises, as well as jet ski, bike, paddleboard, scooter, and kayak rentals.
There is plenty to do here. The restaurants are great! Want to explore the Island? Everything on the Island is accessible via the free air-conditioned trolley running every twenty minutes, or by free jitney services. Historic Bridge Street, with its restaurants, bars and grilles, live music, shops, and historic pier, is a 20-minute walk from the home. Don't want to drive on a night out on the town? Free jitney services will take you to and from day or night. They work for tips. For those who want to fish.
Anna Maria Island is known as one of the best fishing locations in Florida. There are fishing piers and party fishing boats down the street. Serious about catching fish? Consider chartering a private fishing boat from one of the Island’s licensed captains (it is often said they know where the fish are!).
Like to shop? World-famous St. Armand's Circle and Sarasota are minutes away. Prime Outlets (130 designer and brand-name outlet stores) is nearby, but not too close to threaten your vacation budget! Have kids, or just want to act like one? Busch Gardens in Tampa is about an hour away, and Disney World is a 2-hour ride door-to-door.
This seven-mile barrier island is Florida’s best-kept secret. There’s a saying here; “when you're on Anna Maria Island, you don’t go to the beach… because on Anna Maria Island, you’re already at the beach.”
The Island in the Sun is Florida’s best-kept secret. With Gulf temperatures averaging 84 degrees and 360 days of sunshine per year the surrounding waters of AMI are known as “the nursery” because of the large number of dolphins that raise their young here.
With the island’s laid-back charm and leisurely unhurried living, speed limits are restricted to 25 mph - 35 mph throughout most of the island. This tropical paradise also offers free trolley service for both tourists and residents.
The beaches of Anna Maria flaunt the prettiest seashells in Florida. Anna Maria is also a top US location for rare seashells. Once you arrive at this waterfront island estate, you’ll agree, the home itself is a rare treasure!
Be sure to visit Anna Maria City Pier! Built in the early 1900s, this 700-foot-long pier provides a great vantage point for watching sunrises and sunsets, bird watching, and dolphin watching, and provides views of Tampa Bay and the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. You can also fish off this pier. Bring your boat, bring your fishing gear to cast a line off the pier, or rent a boat to get out on deep water and fish.
Bridge Street Pier, located on the southern end of the island in Bradenton Beach, honors the past while still embracing the future with its ‘Old Florida’ charm mixed with new restaurants, shops, galleries, and more.
Enjoy the architecture and charm of Historic Green Village. Most of the restored buildings now run on solar panels and other modern energy-saving methods.
The island, surrounded by water and interlaced with canals, is host to many amazing sea creatures - among them are Loggerhead Turtles, Manatees, and dolphins. Loggerhead turtles are a protected species and we have the Turtle Watch - a group of wonderful folks who search the beaches for nests and protect those nests until the eggs hatch (it is illegal for anyone to tamper with the nests). Manatees are also protected here in Florida - they are commonly seen in the summer when they leave their winter warm waters and migrate south.
