It was on tour during Palm Springs Modernism Week 2017 and has been featured in California Homes Magazine. Treat yourself to a vacation in this Living Show Room - the perfect “Midcentury to Next-Century Transformation” of an iconic 1950s home originally built by the Alexander Construction Company and then remodeled by Solterra Builders. The Design Team from West Elm used their product line of organic, handcrafted, sustainably sourced sofas, tables, beds, lighting and accessories to furnish this classic home (circa 1958). THE INTERIOR LIVING SPACES Absolutely stunning remodel. This property has been lovingly restored - respecting its architectural pedigree while updating it for the way we live today. The renovation preserved the original open concept floor plan, clerestory windows, polished concrete floors and iconic post and beam ceilings - while giving it a completely “next century” makeover with all new kitchen and baths, hi speed internet access, updated climate control system, 4 Smart Televisions and ipod charging stations. The entire front and back of the house feature movable walls of glass - that blur the lines between indoor and outdoor living in true Palm Springs-style. THE SLEEPING QUARTERS All of the bedrooms feature ample storage, flat screen televisions and comfortable king-sized mattresses by Casper, the latest in memory foam sleep systems. The master bedroom offers a walk in closet, sitting area, direct pool access and an en suite bath with dual sinks and a deluxe shower that connects to the outdoors. The two king guest rooms feature their own court yards - each with a private firepit lounge area, an outdoor shower, and gorgeous mountain views. THE OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES Completely walled for privacy, the entire property feels like an upscale resort with its large concept pool area, outdoor living pavilion, game areas, 5 fire features, 3 outdoor showers, al fresco dining, gas barbecue and poolside chaise lounges. Sophisticated modern style meets 1950s sensibility to create this fabulous outdoor space that certainly has the Wow Factor. Pool Heating is included in the rental cost, for bookings that are less than 29 nights, from October 15th through April 30th. From May 1st through October 14th, pool heating can be purchased for an additional $50/day. THE LOCATION This spectacular home sits on a quiet residential street in the Little Beverly Hills neighborhood of Palm Springs - an intimate enclave of 84 single family homes - all built by the Alexander Construction Company (w/ a few Meiselmans on the perimeter) between 1957 and 1959. This very retro, picturesque, walkable community is bordered on two sides by a golf course.   • The guest booking the property (“you”) must be at least 25 years of age and will be an occupant of the unit during the entire reserved period. You will be responsible for the behavior of all other persons at the home at all times during your stay. This is not a complete statement of all rules, regulations and laws applicable to the stay. Following reservation, you and other occupants may be required to execute additional agreements, waivers and acknowledgments, and must comply with the terms of service, homeowners association rules or local laws or regulations. Occupancy stated above is “maximum permitted.” Occupancy, noise and parking requirements are strictly enforced. Violation may result in immediate eviction and/or citation by the city. The City gives no warnings prior to citation. You will be charged a minimum service fee of $500 plus the cost of any City citation. Excessive noise is noise heard at and beyond the property line. No outdoor music is allowed. You are advised and acknowledge that we use “NoiseAware” devices in every property to alert us to excessive noise. **Pets only in pet-friendly homes with an additional non-refundable fee and pet agreement. Unauthorized pets will result in additional cleaning fee. **Smoking is prohibited regardless of device or substance. Smoke odor inside the home or any other damage caused by smoking will be handled as intentional damage with a $1,500 fee for remediation. *Pools and spas increase the risk for potential injury or death and you accept such risk. **Private homes are not regulated for accessibility standards. **Furnishings and amenities vary from home to home and are subject to change without notice. Information provided for individual listings is believed to be accurate but cannot be guaranteed. Each property will be cleaned and inspected before and after departure. Please leave the property tidy, run the dishwasher and take out the trash. You will be billed for the cost of necessary extra cleaning. Your reservation includes a Damage Waiver covering certain unintentional damages to the property during your stay, PROVIDED that you disclose the damage to management prior to check-out and coverage limited to $2,000. Damages discovered following check-out and intentional damages are not covered.
